Our latest Care Quality Commission assessment, published on 18 September 2026, rated Alexandra Court Good overall. We are also proud to have been recognised as a Top 20 Rated Care Home in Yorkshire and The Humber.
I have worked closely with Marilou and the staff team at Alexandra Court professionally as a regulator and more recently as a consultant. Alexandra Court first and foremost is a longstanding family run home and the personal touch really comes across.

Family leadership and an experienced team
Alexandra Court is led by our Registered Manager and Director, Marilouise Bree. Her parents founded the home in 1992, so Alexandra Court has been part of her life from the very beginning. Marilouise joined the home full-time in 2007 and has managed it since 2017.
Marilouise holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Management and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. She is supported by a caring and experienced team who share the home’s commitment to dignity, kindness and genuinely person-centred care.
